Call for participants SNA School 2012

We presented International Summer Course "Social Network Analysis: Methods and Applications" for students and young researchers who are interested in applying social network analysis (SNA) in social studies. The course is organized by the Department of Sociology and Sociology of Education and Science Laboratory of the Research University Higher School of Economics. Working language – English. The school will take place in St.Petersburg, Russia, in June 22-30, 2012.

The goal of the course is to demonstrate how research problems in social sciences can be solved with SNA methods. Connections between theory and application will be illustrated with examples from sociology of youth and education, sociology of health, organizational studies. The course will focus on problem solving rather than on specific methods and techniques. We expect applicants to have at least basic knowledge of SNA terminology and software.
